		<description>Hey Brian,That is a very good point indeed (that our technology will progress with our needs).As far as &lt;i&gt;keeping earth around,&lt;/i&gt; I couldn&#039;t agree more as sometimes I feel the space community minimizes its importance for humanity (saying simply getting to the Moon or Mars will solve our problems).Besides, I doubt that most of our population would actually leave our planet, as it does have the best beaches in the solar system. </description>

Southern California, for one.Technology will allow us to live anywhere in the solar system we wish.It is of course possible to loose technology - which is why keeping earth around for a species refuge is a Really Good Idea. </description>
