At this point in time, settlement of man...Perhaps. At this point in time, settlement of many of these bodies make no sense, and would be far more trouble than they are worth. But in the future, with a growing interplanetary civilization, such an endeavor might make total sense. <BR/><BR/>For our distant ancestors, the desert, and even the temperate regions (which get too cold at night without clothing and fire) were no-man's lands. But we have settled every niche on this planet. We have turned deserts into major cities such as Las Vegas, Dubai, etc. We have turned tundra into civilization, and we have human bases on the polar ice caps of Greenland and Antarctica. <BR/><BR/>I'm rather optimistic that eventually, there will be major settlements on every body, except for the Sun.
